Getting contracted, all new licensed and unlicensed agents

You are here because you want to either get or use an existing life insurance license in a team that works together to get good things done. If we offer you a provisional start then we are inviting you to set a high bar for yourself.

If you are licensed then generally we are able to get you contracted quickly with our agency and carriers. If unlicensed, you must be enrolled in a class before starting contracting.

We focus on building successful agents and do not want to spend time on those that are not dedicated to succeed with us. The Adair Agency contracting instruction start in the yellow box. If hired, we will send you our agent handbook and a process handbook.

Time is the most precious gift of life. We want to be good stewards of it and open this opportunity for those ready to take it when offered. If that is you then we look forward to going forward together.

1. Once licensed, open the contracting in your new email title invitation created.

2. You need your social security number.

3. A valid ID.

4. Almost every carrier assumes you are an individual. So set your account as individual not a business. If you do use a business account it must have your name on it. Ex. Adair Agency LCC will not work. The exception is if the DBA is your name. Willis Adair would be fine if that is the DBA. If you want to get contracted and paid, then you've got to have this information correct.

You will need to get your contracting taken care quickly once licensed so we can get you appointed to start helping families, making money, and changing lives. After you are approved then you will be appointed with about ten core carriers. That should take care of 95% of your business. So get that contracting done as soon as possible.

Offered an opening? We are glad to have you on the team! Get that license done asap. If you can beat Will's record (6 days with Covid) then we will send you something fun to celebrate with you!

1. Go to the pre-licensing course that we will send you.

2. Choose pre-licensed and your state. Got a state specific question? Check the guide at the bottom of this page.

3. Choose the life pre-licensure course and work on finishing it asap.

4. Communicate with your new team members as you do your licensing. Rising Tides raise all ships!

STEPS TO SUCCESS EVEN BEFORE YOU ARE LICENSED AND ONBOARDED

Various Tips

Reach out to your partner (you can do it daily) and provide your status updates. Read the Agency Handbook, it gives you a roadmap to success. Mentors are not mind readers and honestly that would be kind of freaky if they were.

Watch for your welcome email with login once done with licensing (24-48 Hours) and your contract is approved. Let your new partner (we call them up-line) know! Do everything in Sure LC Contracting ASAP.
Be communicative. Our model works best for people that catch the vision and make it their own. Join a workroom even if you are in pre-licensing & communicate in the portal.

Want the real secret to success?

Don't tell anyone but here is the secret. Show up early, stay late, reach out to others, reach up to those that are currently at the destination that you want to arrive. 99.9% got there by reaching out and learning from those already there. It's not easy, but if it were then this would only be worth about $19.95 an hour. You are worth so much more than that or we wouldn't have invited you on our team.

Consult this list of requirements on each states licensing requirement for insurance producers. After obtaining licensing in your home state you can purchase reciprocal licenses to sell in multiple states. We recommend at least three.

You need Life as one or Life and Health which is two separate lines of authority in most states. Life is sometimes Life/Annuities and Health is sometimes Health/Accident depending on the state. We recommend start with Life and pick up health later.
